Structural Draughtsman

Kuching Structural Consultants produces structural drawings for commercial and institutional projects across Kuching, with drafting closely tied to the engineering team's design changes. We need a Structural Draughtsman to produce and revise CAD drawings from engineers' sketches and calculations for our building projects, keeping pace with design changes as projects progress. You'll manage drawing registers and revision control, and cross-check against architectural and M&E drawings to catch clashes early. It suits an accurate, methodical draughtsman who works well to tight revision deadlines, communicates clearly with engineers, and takes pride in clean, coordinated drawings that the whole project team can rely on without confusion.

Key responsibilities

• Produce structural drawings from engineers' sketches and calculations
• Revise drawings promptly and accurately against design changes
• Maintain drawing registers and strict revision control
• Coordinate drawing issues with the project engineer
• Cross-check drawings against related architectural and M&E drawings
• Flag inconsistencies between disciplines before drawings are issued
• Keep the drawing filing system organised and current

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil or Structural Drafting or equivalent
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit is an advantage
