Special Education Needs Coordinator
GUNUNG ACADEMY · Education & Training
Job Description
GUNUNG ACADEMY is growing its special education needs department to support a wider range of learners across its 700-plus student body, with genuine investment and commitment from school leadership. Inclusion is a real priority here, not a box-ticking exercise, and the SEN coordinator role carries meaningful influence and support. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN professional who wants to shape inclusive practice across a whole school, advocate effectively for students with additional needs, and build a department that makes a genuine, lasting difference to the learners who need it most.
We're hiring a SEN Coordinator to develop individual learning plans, train subject teachers on inclusive practices, and liaise with parents on student support needs across the school. You'll monitor SEN students' progress, advise on classroom accommodations, and work closely with families and external specialists. It suits an experienced SEN professional with strong interpersonal skills who can advocate confidently for students within a mainstream school, coach colleagues on inclusive teaching, and take real ownership of building supportive, effective provision for learners with a range of additional needs.
