Software QA Intern

Rejang Tech Hub is a small, remote-first dev shop based in Sibu, building internal tools for plantation and trading companies across central Sarawak. It is a compact team where interns work directly with the founders rather than being routed through a large, impersonal HR structure. That means your questions get answered by the people actually building the product, and your findings genuinely influence what ships, which makes it an unusually hands-on and rewarding place to learn quality assurance.

This is a three-month QA internship testing the internal tools we build for plantation and trading clients. You'll write test cases, log bugs, and sit in on release planning from day one, with your findings genuinely shaping what ultimately ships to clients. It is a great fit for a detail-oriented student who wants to understand how software quality is really maintained in practice, and to leave the placement with concrete, demonstrable experience rather than just theory.

Key responsibilities

• Write and execute clear manual test cases against new features
• Log detailed, reproducible bug reports for the development team
• Verify bug fixes carefully before they are marked resolved
• Sit in on sprint planning and release readiness discussions
• Help maintain a lightweight regression test checklist
• Flag usability issues and rough edges encountered during testing
• Suggest edge cases the development team may not have considered

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in IT or Computer Science
• Detail-oriented and comfortable writing clear, precise bug reports
• Available for a minimum three-month placement
• Willing to ask questions when a feature's expected behaviour is unclear
• Reliable and consistent in following test steps
