Secondary School Teacher – Science

We're hiring a Secondary Science Teacher for our IGCSE programme, teaching Biology and Chemistry to Years 9 to 11 in classes capped at 22 students, with full lab support and a well-resourced science department. You'll plan and deliver engaging lessons, run practicals safely, and prepare students for external examinations. It suits an enthusiastic, well-organised science teacher who enjoys hands-on practical work, can adapt to mixed-ability classes, and wants to teach a rigorous international curriculum in a supportive, well-equipped school with strong leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus
• Prepare students thoroughly for external examinations
• Design and supervise laboratory practicals safely
• Participate in co-curricular activities and parent-teacher conferences
• Track and report student progress each term
• Contribute to departmental curriculum planning and resources
• Support struggling students with targeted after-school revision sessions

Requirements

• Degree in Science education or a relevant Science discipline with a teaching qualification
• At least 2 years of secondary teaching experience, international curriculum preferred
• Strong classroom management skills

• Enthusiastic about practical, inquiry-based science
