Scaffolding Supervisor – Oil & Gas

Baram Offshore Support Services provides scaffolding and rigging crews to offshore and onshore facility projects working out of Miri, built around a core team of long-serving supervisors. Safe access at height underpins almost every maintenance and turnaround activity, so our scaffolding supervisors carry real responsibility for both safety and schedule. It is a strong role for an experienced, certified supervisor who leads from the front, holds high standards on every build, and knows how to keep competing scaffold priorities moving without ever compromising on safety.

We need a Scaffolding Supervisor to lead scaffold crews on client turnaround and maintenance projects, ensuring every build meets safety and access requirements from first erection through to final dismantling. You'll inspect completed scaffolds, enforce safe work at height, and coordinate priorities with the client's planning team on busy sites. It suits a hands-on leader who can train and drive a crew, hold firm on tagging and inspection standards, and keep access safe and available exactly where and when the work needs it.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise scaffold erection and dismantling crews on site
• Inspect completed scaffolds against design and tagging requirements
• Enforce safe work practices at height rigorously across the crew
• Coordinate scaffold priorities with the client's planning team
• Maintain the scaffold register and inspection tags fully up to date
• Train junior scaffolders on correct and safe erection sequencing
• Manage competing scaffold demands across a busy turnaround site

Requirements

• Advanced scaffolding certification with a supervisory endorsement
• At least 4 years of scaffolding experience in oil and gas, with 1 year supervising
• Strong, consistent safety compliance mindset
• Comfortable managing competing scaffold priorities across a busy site
• Able to train and lead a crew effectively
