Job Description
Baram Offshore Support Services provides rigging, marine coordination, and scaffolding crews to offshore operators working out of Miri, with a strong safety record built over years of repeat client contracts. Lifting work is high-consequence, and our clients trust us because our crews are properly certified, disciplined, and safety-first every single time. It is a solid role for an experienced, safety-conscious rigger who takes real pride in doing skilled, physical work correctly and wants steady work with a well-regarded offshore support contractor.
We need certified Riggers for lifting operations supporting our clients' offshore and onshore facility projects out of Miri, working as part of an experienced rigging crew. It is demanding, hands-on work where precision and discipline directly protect everyone on site. You'll rig loads to approved lift plans, inspect gear rigorously before every lift, and work closely with crane operators and the safety team. Offshore rotations are part of the role when active projects require crews out on the installations.
Key responsibilities
- Rig loads for crane lifts strictly according to approved lift plans
- Inspect slings, shackles, and lifting gear thoroughly before every use
- Signal crane operators clearly and coordinate safe lift execution
- Report defective or suspect lifting equipment immediately
- Support toolbox talks before high-risk lifting operations
- Maintain accurate rigging equipment logs and inspection records
- Keep the lift area controlled and clear of unnecessary personnel

Requirements
- Valid rigger certification (NIOSH or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of rigging experience in oil and gas or heavy industry
- Willing to work offshore rotations when required
- Physically fit and comfortable working at height and around heavy loads
- Strong, uncompromising safety discipline
