Regional Retail Operations Executive

KENYALANG MART RETAIL GROUP operates 14 outlets across Kuching, Samarahan, and Serian, competing with the national chains on fresh produce and local products. As the group grows, keeping standards and processes genuinely consistent across every single outlet becomes critical — one weak store can quietly undo the hard-won reputation of the whole chain. This role is central to holding that line and to helping the group scale well, and it carries a clear path toward full operations management.

We're hiring a Regional Retail Operations Executive to support the Operations Manager across our outlets, auditing compliance and rolling out new SOPs. The role suits a sharp, mobile retail professional who genuinely enjoys being out in the stores rather than sitting behind a desk all day. You'll be the group's eyes and ears across the region — driving consistency, supporting new store openings, coaching managers, and reporting honestly on what is really happening on the ground.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular store audits against company SOPs and merchandising standards
• Support new outlet openings, layout planning, and initial store setup
• Coordinate with store managers on staffing, stock, and promotional execution
• Roll out new operational procedures consistently across all outlets
• Compile clear weekly operations and audit reports for senior management
• Identify underperforming areas and recommend practical, workable fixes
• Share best practices between outlets to lift overall group standards
• Support store managers with coaching and problem-solving on site

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field
• At least 3 years of multi-outlet retail operations experience
• Strong analytical, audit, and reporting skills
• Own transport and willing to travel regularly between outlets
• Confident coaching store managers and driving consistent standards
