Radiographer

SIMILAJAU SPECIALIST HOSPITAL is a 180-bed specialist hospital in Bintulu offering diagnostic imaging, laboratory, and inpatient services to the wider Bintulu-Miri corridor, and is expanding its radiology department to meet growing demand. We invest in modern imaging equipment and in the radiographers who operate it, because accurate, timely imaging is central to good patient care. It is a strong environment for a radiographer who wants to work with good equipment, handle varied caseloads, and grow with a busy, expanding department.

We need an additional Radiographer to operate X-ray, CT, and ultrasound equipment for inpatient and outpatient cases as our radiology department grows to keep pace with industrial-sector demand. You'll produce accurate diagnostic images across a genuine variety of cases, uphold radiation safety at all times, and support emergency imaging on call. It suits a competent, safety-conscious radiographer who takes pride in image quality, works well with clinical teams, and is comfortable operating independently during quieter overnight shifts when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Operate X-ray, CT, and general imaging equipment safely and accurately
• Position patients correctly to produce clear diagnostic images
• Maintain radiation safety protocols rigorously at all times
• Support on-call imaging requests for emergency cases
• Maintain equipment calibration and maintenance logs
• Explain imaging procedures clearly to anxious or first-time patients
• Coordinate with radiologists and clinicians on imaging priorities

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Radiography, registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council
• Experience operating CT and general X-ray equipment
• Willing to work rotating shifts including on-call
• Comfortable working independently during quieter overnight shifts
• Strong commitment to radiation safety and image quality
