Process Plant Operator

We need a Process Plant Operator for shift-based monitoring and operation of process units at a client facility. Prior LNG or petrochemical plant experience is strongly preferred, though strong trade-certified candidates will also be seriously considered. It is a role that demands precision, calm under pressure, and strict adherence to procedure, particularly during start-ups, shutdowns, and abnormal conditions. Key responsibilities

• Monitor and operate DCS-controlled process units per shift procedures
• Log operational readings accurately and report abnormalities immediately
• Perform routine field rounds and equipment checks each shift
• Respond to alarms following established emergency procedures precisely
• Support start-up and shutdown sequences under supervision
• Complete detailed and accurate shift handover reports
• Flag equipment showing early signs of degradation to the maintenance team

Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Chemical or Process Engineering, or relevant trade certification
• Experience operating DCS-controlled process units
• Willing to work a rotating 12-hour shift roster
• A valid plant access or safety passport is an advantage
• Able to follow emergency procedures precisely and calmly under pressure
