Plantation Manager

BATANG LUPAR PLANTATION SDN BHD operates oil palm estates along the Batang Lupar and Rajang basins. We're hiring a Plantation Manager to oversee estate operations, yield targets, and workforce planning for one of our oil palm estates. This is a senior, on-estate leadership role for an experienced planter who can genuinely balance production, cost control, people management, and sustainability all at once. You'll have full operational ownership of your estate and be directly accountable for its performance, the welfare and productivity of its workforce, and its compliance with certification and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set, monitor, and consistently drive harvesting and yield targets across the estate
• Manage estate workforce planning, welfare, housing, and day-to-day productivity
• Liaise with the mill on fresh fruit bunch delivery schedules and fruit quality
• Oversee fertiliser, weeding, and integrated pest management programmes
• Control estate operating costs against the approved annual budget
• Report monthly estate performance, forecasts, and issues to head office
• Ensure full compliance with RSPO, MSPO, safety, and labour standards
• Lead and develop assistant managers, field staff, and supervisors

Requirements

• Degree in Plantation Management, Agriculture, or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of hands-on plantation management experience
• Sound, practical knowledge of oil palm agronomy and estate operations
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and workforce management skills
• Willing to be based on-estate, with staff housing provided
