Naval Architect (Contract)

SIMILAJAU MARINE & OFFSHORE ENGINEERING is taking on a six-month project reviewing vessel stability and structural modifications for a client fleet upgrade based out of its Miri operations. It is a focused, technically demanding engagement that offers the chance to work on interesting classification and stability challenges alongside a capable technical team. This is a six-month contract reviewing vessel stability calculations and structural modification proposals for a client's fleet upgrade programme, working directly with the client's technical team. You'll assess stability and modifications against class requirements and prepare technical submissions to class society reviewers. It suits an experienced naval architect who is familiar with class society stability and structural requirements, comfortable working to defined contract deliverables, and able to flag stability concerns early enough to keep the client's fleet upgrade programme on track for approval.

Requirements

• Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
• At least 4 years of vessel design or classification experience
• Familiar with class society stability and structural requirements

• Strong technical documentation skills
