Mill Machinery Technician

Rajang Agri-Engineering Services maintains mill machinery for plantation clients along the Rajang basin as part of its broader engineering services, with technicians travelling to client sites regularly. Keeping mills running through the harvest season is demanding, hands-on work where a quick, competent response genuinely keeps clients' operations moving. It is a solid role for a practical, mechanically minded technician who enjoys varied fieldwork, doesn't mind urgent call-outs during peak season, and takes pride in keeping critical plantation machinery reliable when clients need it most.

We need a Mill Machinery Technician to carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance on plantation mill equipment for our clients, keeping machinery running through the harvest season. You'll perform scheduled maintenance, respond to breakdown call-outs, and advise mill operators on basic day-to-day care. It suits a practical, hands-on technician who is comfortable travelling to plantation sites, responding to urgent breakdowns during harvest, and keeping clear maintenance records, with a real sense of ownership over keeping clients' critical mill equipment running reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mill machinery
• Respond promptly to breakdown call-outs at client sites
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and spare parts records
• Report recurring equipment issues to the engineering team
• Advise client mill operators on basic day-to-day equipment care
• Coordinate parts and repairs to minimise mill downtime
• Work safely around operating mill machinery at all times

Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or trade equivalent
• At least 2 years of industrial or mill machinery maintenance experience
• Willing to travel to plantation sites around Sibu
• Comfortable responding to urgent breakdown call-outs during harvest season
• Practical, hands-on, and safety-conscious
