We're hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to design fabrication drawings and support vessel maintenance projects for our offshore clients, working closely with our workshop fabrication team. You'll prepare drawings, review vendor documentation, and check manufacturability with the fabricators who build your designs. It suits a practical mechanical engineer who enjoys the feedback loop between drawing office and shop floor, is comfortable adjusting designs based on workshop input, and takes pride in producing drawings that are accurate, compliant, and genuinely buildable.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical fabrication drawings for marine and offshore equipment
• Support project engineers during vessel maintenance windows
• Liaise with workshop fabricators on manufacturability
• Review vendor drawings for design compliance
• Maintain design change documentation for audit purposes
• Attend workshop walk-throughs to catch fabrication issues early
• Update drawings promptly based on workshop feedback

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 2 years of design experience, marine or heavy industry preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Comfortable adjusting drawings based on workshop feedback
• Practical, detail-oriented, and buildability-focused
