Job Description
Baram Offshore Support Services operates a fleet of supply and crew boats supporting offshore clients out of Miri, with crewing handled through a small, dedicated coordination desk. Keeping every vessel properly staffed and fully compliant is a constant, detail-heavy job where lapses are simply not an option. It is a strong role for an organised, unflappable coordinator who enjoys the puzzle of matching people, certifications, and schedules, and who takes real satisfaction in keeping a busy fleet running smoothly and legally at all times.
We need a Marine Crew Coordinator to schedule vessel crews and manage certification compliance for our fleet of supply and crew boats, keeping every vessel properly staffed and compliant at all times. You'll juggle crew rotations, certification renewals, and last-minute changes while liaising with vessel masters and client logistics teams. It is a role for someone highly organised and calm under pressure, who understands that accurate crewing and current certificates are fundamental to both safety and keeping the fleet legally operational.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule vessel crews across the active fleet efficiently
- Track seafarer certification expiry dates and coordinate timely renewals
- Coordinate crew changes closely with client logistics teams
- Maintain accurate, complete crewing records for compliance audits
- Liaise with vessel masters on crew availability and welfare issues
- Arrange crew transport and accommodation for changeovers
- Resolve last-minute crewing gaps quickly and safely

Requirements
- At least 2 years of marine crewing or logistics coordination experience
- Familiar with seafarer certification requirements
- Strong scheduling, coordination, and record-keeping skills
- Comfortable resolving last-minute crewing gaps under time pressure
- Calm, organised, and detail-oriented
