Lorry Driver – Class E, GDL

SARAWAK INLAND HAULAGE SDN BHD has run trucking routes between Sibu, Sarikei, and Kuching for over 20 years, moving palm oil, timber, and general cargo. We need a Lorry Driver based near Sarikei for regular runs between Sibu, Sarikei, and Kuching, transporting palm oil and general cargo. A valid GDL is required for this role. It suits an experienced, safety-conscious driver who is comfortable with inter-town runs, including the occasional overnight trip when the schedule calls for it. You'll be trusted with valuable cargo and a well-maintained company vehicle on established, familiar routes with a reliable dispatch team behind you.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned inter-town routes safely, responsibly, and on schedule
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety checks
• Load, secure, and check cargo correctly before every departure
• Complete delivery documentation and obtain proper proof of delivery
• Report vehicle faults, incidents, or delays to dispatch promptly
• Observe all road safety, weight, and load regulations at all times
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean, fuelled, and well-maintained
• Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers during each run

Requirements

• A valid Class E driving licence and GDL (Goods Driving Licence)
• A clean driving record with a minimum of 3 years of experience
• Willing to undertake overnight runs between towns when required
• Reliable, punctual, disciplined, and genuinely safety-conscious
• Basic literacy for delivery documentation and vehicle logs
