Fleet Supervisor

SARAWAK INLAND HAULAGE SDN BHD operates a fleet of 40 trucks running routes between Sibu, Sarikei, and Kuching. Keeping that fleet moving profitably — vehicles serviced, drivers sensibly deployed, deliveries reliably on time — takes tight, hands-on operational coordination day in and day out. The Fleet Supervisor is the person who makes all of that happen, and it is a role with real, direct influence over the efficiency, safety, and profitability of the entire haulage operation.

We need a Fleet Supervisor to manage vehicle scheduling, maintenance planning, and driver performance across our fleet. The role suits an organised transport operations professional who can juggle competing priorities calmly and keep both vehicles and people running well under pressure. You'll own the daily deployment of vehicles, the preventive maintenance calendar, and the performance and welfare of a large driver team, working closely with clients, workshops, and management to keep everything moving.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule vehicle and driver assignments and monitor route compliance daily
• Plan preventive maintenance carefully to minimise breakdowns and downtime
• Monitor driver performance, safety records, and fuel efficiency
• Coordinate closely with clients on delivery scheduling and any issues
• Maintain complete fleet maintenance, inspection, and licensing records
• Investigate incidents thoroughly and implement corrective actions
• Control fleet operating costs against the agreed budget
• Support recruitment, briefing, and discipline of the driver team

Requirements

• At least 3 years of fleet or transport operations experience
• Familiar with vehicle maintenance scheduling and road transport compliance
• Strong organisational, planning, and coordination skills
• Comfortable managing and motivating a large driver team
• Good with scheduling tools, records, and basic reporting
