Community Outreach Officer (Contract)
Bintulu Government Liaison Centre · Government & Defence
Job Description
Bintulu Government Liaison Centre runs community engagement programmes that coordinate residents with local agencies. Much of our real impact happens outside the office — in village halls, community centres, and door-to-door conversations — where trust is built patiently and face to face. This outreach work is how we make sure services actually reach the people who need them most, including in the less accessible communities around Bintulu that are easily overlooked by centralised services.
This is a twelve-month contract role coordinating community engagement sessions and processing resident enquiries, including regular travel to nearby villages. It suits someone personable and self-directed who is comfortable working across diverse communities and building relationships entirely from scratch. You'll act as the bridge between residents and the agencies meant to serve them, and you'll see the direct, tangible results of your work reflected in the community you support throughout the contract.
