We're hiring a Civil Structural Engineer to design and check structural elements for commercial and institutional building projects across Kuching, working closely with architects from concept through construction. You'll prepare calculations and drawings, coordinate with other consultants, and visit site to check compliance. Key responsibilities

• Prepare structural calculations and drawings for building projects
• Coordinate with architects and other consultants on design integration
• Conduct periodic site visits to check construction compliance
• Review contractor shop drawings for structural adequacy
• Support authority submission documentation and approvals
• Mentor junior draughtsmen on structural detailing
• Advise on cost-effective structural solutions during design development
• Keep designs aligned with relevant codes and standards

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, with PE registration or working toward it
• At least 3 years of structural design experience
• Proficient in structural analysis software such as ETABS or STAAD
• Comfortable defending design decisions during authority review
• Sound grasp of relevant structural codes and detailing
