Branch Operations Executive

PadiFin Microfinance provides small business loans and savings products to rural entrepreneurs across northern Sarawak, operating branches in Miri, Marudi, and Limbang. Our branches are the daily point of contact for members, so smooth, accurate, and genuinely friendly counter operations are central to the trust we've built in rural communities. We invest properly in our branch staff because they are the visible face of the institution and often the only banking relationship our members have.

We're hiring a Branch Operations Executive to handle day-to-day counter operations, member enquiries, and cash handling at our Miri branch. The role suits someone reliable and personable who takes real pride in accuracy and in treating every member well, regardless of the size of their account. You'll be trusted with cash, records, and the first impression that members form of PadiFin each and every time they visit the branch, so dependability and warmth both matter.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day counter transactions and member enquiries courteously
• Process savings deposits, withdrawals, and loan repayment receipts accurately
• Balance cash drawers precisely at the end of each working day
• Support loan officers with basic application intake and documentation
• Maintain orderly branch records, filing, and daily transaction logs
• Uphold cash-handling controls and branch security procedures at all times
• Escalate unusual transactions or member issues to the branch manager promptly
• Help maintain a welcoming, well-organised branch environment for members

Requirements

• Diploma in Business, Finance, or a related field
• At least 1 year of counter or branch operations experience is preferred
• Comfortable with cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation
• Friendly, accurate, patient, and thoroughly trustworthy
• Good spoken Bahasa Malaysia, English, and ideally local dialects
