Bookkeeper (Part-time)

We need a part-time Bookkeeper to maintain member account records and reconcile daily transactions, working three fixed weekdays each week. The role suits an experienced bookkeeper who is looking for steady, predictable part-time hours within a stable, community-focused organisation. You'll work closely with the credit union manager and be trusted with the day-to-day financial records that keep the cooperative running smoothly and keep our members' confidence intact.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain member account records accurately and keep them fully up to date
• Reconcile daily transactions against bank statements and physical cash records
• Prepare basic monthly financial summaries for the manager and the committee
• Post savings, withdrawals, and loan repayment entries correctly and promptly
• Flag discrepancies and unusual entries to the credit union manager without delay
• Help prepare records, ledgers, and schedules in advance of the annual audit
• Maintain orderly filing of vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents

Requirements

• Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping, or an LCCI equivalent qualification
• Comfortable with basic accounting or cooperative management software
• Meticulous, trustworthy, and discreet with confidential member information
• Reliable and consistent, able to commit to three fixed weekdays per week
