Assistant Manager – Engineering Projects

We're hiring an Assistant Manager to oversee a portfolio of engineering projects, coordinating design teams and client deliverables across multiple concurrent jobs at once. You'll manage timelines, review deliverables for quality, handle client communications, and mentor junior engineers. It suits an experienced consultancy engineer with proven coordination skills who can juggle several project deadlines calmly, keep quality high under pressure, and step confidently into a leadership role with real responsibility for both delivery and the development of the engineers around them.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of three to four concurrent engineering projects
• Coordinate design teams against client deadlines
• Review deliverables carefully for quality before client submission
• Manage client communications on project status and issues
• Support proposal preparation for new project pursuits
• Mentor junior engineers across the project portfolio
• Reallocate design resources when a project falls behind schedule

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, PE registration preferred
• At least 5 years of engineering consultancy experience
• Proven project coordination and client management skills
• Comfortable juggling multiple concurrent project deadlines
• Confident leading and developing junior engineers
